Sr. Systems Engineer

The Sr Systems Engineer plays a critical role in leading and contributing to the development, analysis, and management of satellite systems throughout their lifecycle, from initial design to post-launch operations.

Focus:

• Provide technical expertise and systems engineering support for satellite development initiatives.
• Evaluate and provide feedback on vendor designs, ensuring compliance with technical and performance specifications.
• Conduct analysis of antenna patterns and assess payload performance metrics.
• Perform trade-off studies to determine optimal configurations for digital beamforming antenna systems.
• Analyze system capacity while considering power and thermal constraints.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of satellite systems with other infrastructure.
• Support interdisciplinary teams with engineering insight to address complex system challenges.
• Execute additional tasks as required by project needs.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on wireless communication is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in satellite systems engineering, satellite design, or related disciplines.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Adept at multitasking and meeting deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Familiarity with ERP systems like NetSuite is a plus.
• Expertise in satellite systems engineering and integration with ground networks.
• Experience with digital payload satellites and digital beamforming technologies.
• Deep understanding of the interdependencies between payload design and satellite power/thermal systems.
• Familiarity with LEO constellation programs and related engineering challenges.
• Experience with analytical tools such as MATLAB, Python, and Power BI.
