Provide quality and engaging instruction in all delivery methods and formats within the Criminal Justice and Legal and Paralegal Studies academic programs; provide timely and meaningful feedback to students regarding the mastery of course and program learning outcomes; engage students outside of class in support of the curriculum and co-curriculum; provide institutional support and community service; participate meaningfully in student retention and completion initiatives; support the College’s mission and strategic plan initiatives; conform to campus expectations of faculty performance and engagement. Key Responsibilities include: Instruction - Deliver assigned classes using pedagogy and technology that best support student learning, develop and maintain curriculum and supporting course materials, maintain student records and manage classroom environment, facilitate student achievement of program learning outcomes, use Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard). Retention and Student Success - Provide academic coaching and monitoring, maintain office hours, promote student recruitment and retention. Professional Development - Participate in training, self-study, and scholarly activities. Community Relations and Business Outreach - Participate in community service and develop community/business contacts. Institutional Support - Participate in committees, support Corporate College and Development, attend meetings and commencement, support program management, adhere to academic policies. Educational Requirements & Preferences: Must possess a Juris Doctor from a regionally accredited institution plus meet minimum credentialing standards. Preference for experience as prosecutor, public defender, paralegal or supervisory experience with paralegals. Minimum Qualifications: Juris Doctor degree, professional licensure or two years related work experience, strong knowledge of current technologies, ability to promote an inclusive environment. Starting Salary Range: $40,000-$48,000 based on experience.
